I propose we annex NOVA into quarters, giving 1/4 to DC, 1/4 to Maryland, 1/4 to PA, and 1/4 to WV. That way, Va could start at Bath County (we want to keep Bath because of the good deer hunting), and extend this way. Possibly loop around Radford and let them start their own state. We're not the only ones in the state who don't like NOVA. A guy from the Virginia Beach area in my dorm talks about them like a dog with the opportunity. "They're stupid, they wanna be called North Virginia."

What is the deal with Radford? Is it because we host the spring games? We have worked our butts off to keep these games. I have been around High school sports all of my life so I have alot of feelings of how the Great VHSL f***s over SWVA. The latest thing is the moving of the River Ridge district to Region 1V. People in SWVA needs to start speaking up- either by e-mail or start writing letters to their state and Federal Representatives.SWVA has two respresentatives - WEBB and Boucher at the Federal level.This is only one way to fight the VHSL. The VHSL is made up of the High schools in the state.So the principals needs to be a voice for us in the state.
You should talk to your officals association, if you only knew how some of the officals are chosen for these games you would really get pissed off. For instance, 2 years ago ,the crew that called PV/Giles one lives around the corner from me, He is one worst officals around.(it's a running joke that he is that bad but gets a state game)
I understand alot of the feelings that SWVA has about NOVA. I have lived in Radford all of life so I know how NOVA students treat us in SWVA. They think VA stops not at Roanoke but at Front Royal.
One of my friends is a apartment manager that has alot of NOVA students. "When he asked them where they are from they say NO va. HE ask them where in NOVA what town.Most NOVA students that i meet have not clue how we in SWVA live.I teach in Blacksburg ,so I get to teach a wide variety of students from around the world.I personally have more in common with people in Southern WestVA than in NOVA. When people such as VT students try to put down West Va I tell them that WEst va used to be part of VA.But also did Ken,Tenn Part of NC
